FAVORITE SPACES: THE FREROTTE KITCHEN BY LEANNE FORD INTERIORS

Leanne Ford Interiors is one of my favorite designers. You may know her from her successful collab with Crate and Barrel but are you familiar with her amazing design work?

Instagram is so saturated with beautiful work that it really takes something unique and special to make you stop scrolling and take a closer look. This project stopped me right in my tracks.

You know by now that I’m all about attention to detail and every corner of the Frerotte kitchen has been carefully designed. The beautiful wood texture on the ceiling was crafted from the underside of old wood floors. Function is also key in this space with a mix of open shelving and upper cabinets providing a place to display favorite pieces as well as practical storage solutions. The pendants hanging over the sink are unexpected but work so well in the space. Exposed hinges are one of my favorite elements in a kitchen, I think they add a traditional touch that you don’t see as much these days.

My favorite part though, has to be the huge wood table in place of a kitchen island. It is such a functional way to finish off the space yet totally unexpected and innovative. Also, did you see the double sinks?! That’s my idea of a perfect kitchen right there. I could go on and on about how much I love this space but I’ll let you take a look for yourself. Even though this post is dedicated to the kitchen, the entire home is spectacular, I could be very happy living inside that shower!
